The African Decor Edit by Nasozi Kakembo
The African Decor Edit by Nasozi Kakembo is the African interior design book that takes you to the source: the artisans, the traditions, and the heritage objects that give a home its story.
For the person who believes a home should reflect not just your taste, but your values, your curiosity, and your roots. This is that book.
Nasozi Kakembo spent years travelling across Africa, sitting with artisans in their home countries, learning the origin and meaning of the objects they make. The African Decor Edit is what she brought back: a guide to collecting and decorating with African heritage pieces in a way that is informed, intentional, and rooted in the real.
Each chapter presents artisans in their home countries, telling their stories in their own words. Kakembo moves through Malian mudcloth, Moroccan rugs, and beyond. Not as a trend guide, but as a document of living craft traditions and the people behind them.
For the considered collector, this is the missing resource. A reference you return to. A lens through which your home becomes a place of genuine meaning, not just beautiful arrangement.
