I started September Collective with one simple belief, that our homes should feel like our authentic stories. We should have pieces in our homes that reflect who we are, where we come from, and what we value. In other words: We should be styling our homes with meaning.
Our community came together to honour the art of living with intention. We talked about creating spaces that are true reflections of ourselves and choosing heirloom pieces that tell a story of heritage. And as the evening unfolded, I watched as the community not only connected with the pieces but also with the stories behind them. This is what intentional living looks like.
September, our namesake month, is a season of renewal, transition, and alignment with purpose, reminding us that beauty means more when it holds meaning.

I love, love these jar candles. Especially the Limpopo peach. It’s not your ordinary peach scent. It’s very calming, sensual scent.

I love this piece and I paired it with Makara in my home. It’s like the perfect Ying and yang or male and female energy in our home. My favorite color is blue, so they also accent each other well without being too overwhelming. Lastly the print is top tier, it looks expensive as well.
When I purchased the Crab Table, I wasn’t 100% sure where I’d place it or how I’d use it—I just knew it was beautiful and needed to be part of my home. It turns out this piece is incredibly versatile! So far, I’ve styled it as a display for carved artwork, a lamp stand, a plant stand, and even a drink stand. No matter how I use it, it’s always a showstopper. It’s by far the most complimented piece in my home.
In love with my Walking Console Table! ✨ It’s the perfect size and design for my entry hallway—adds so much character and interest without overwhelming the space. I first spotted this piece while visiting Ghana but couldn’t bring it home at the time. I was thrilled to discover September Collective locally and ordered right away when I saw it available. I am so incredibly pleased with this throw. Not only is it visually impact full on my space, but it is functional. It has a really nice weight to it and the weave is fantastic, textured but still smooth and comfortable against the skin. I also love the drawstring pouch it comes in which makes it perfect for gifting. I will likely purchase at least 1 more for holiday gifts.

Unlike any candle I’ve purchased. Not perfumey at all. The scent is warm and earthy, and it fills the room without overpowering it and then lingers after the flame is out. Love it!
