Why It Changes A Space
- Introduces a sense of openness and visual breath, expanding the emotional horizon of a room.
- Soft horizon lines create grounded stillness while suggesting forward movement.
- Tonal layering invites quiet reflection without overwhelming surrounding elements.
- Designed to hold space. Offering calm expansiveness in both intimate corners and larger walls.
The Story Behind the Art
There’s a moment, quiet yet powerful, when we stand at the edge of what’s next, what is possible. The figure looks toward an unseen horizon, steady, poised, and filled with quiet determination.
This artwork is about embracing the unknown.
It’s a reminder that the future is both boundless and beautiful, shaped by our courage to step forward. The interplay of vibrant colours serves as a reminder that our dreams are expansive. The contrast of colours reflects the duality of dream and reality, grounding the viewer while encouraging them to reach beyond what they know.
Rhen’s textured strokes bring this moment to life, creating a piece that inspires growth, vision, and forward movement.

More from this artist
I purchased Alone with the Giants for my daughter as a powerful reminder of her strength and resilience. The portrait of the young girl gazing into the horizon embodies everything I want her to carry with her—confidence, ambition, and the belief that she is capable of achieving greatness. This piece will hang in her University dorm as she continues to chase her dreams, a daily affirmation of how far she has come and how much further she will go. As a mother, I couldn't be prouder of her journey, and this artwork captures that beautifully. It is more than just a canvas; it is a symbol of empowerment and possibility for young Black girls everywhere. Absolutely stunning!

Thank you so much for sharing this heartfelt review.
It is truly touching to hear how Alone with the Giants will serve as a daily affirmation of your daughter's strength, resilience, and limitless potential. The journey of a young Black woman stepping into her greatness is one of courage and inspiration, and we are honoured that this piece will be a part of her story. May it remind her every day that she is capable of achieving anything she sets her mind to. Wishing her all the success and fulfillment as she embarks on this new chapter. And as a mother, your love and pride shine through so beautifully—what a powerful gift of encouragement. Thank you for allowing September Collective to be a part of such a meaningful moment!

These two prints added to my art collection. They make a statement all of their own. Each print reminds me of a time period in my life long forgotten. I thank the artist for expressing through art what I could not express in words.
