Batho Lumbar Pillow
The Batho Lumbar Pillow by Lulasclan is crafted from sumptuous velvet and adorned with a bold geometric design inspired by traditional African design. This statement piece brings heritage home. Its rich texture and vibrant patterns don’t just elevate your decor—they honour African artistry in every stitch.
Where it lives beautifully:
- Place in the center of an accent chair. Creating a cozy, inviting focal point that softens the chair's frame.
- The Bed Stack: Lean against the headboard or propped against sleeping pillows. Because linen is breathable and artisanal, it pairs beautifully with cotton bedding.
- End-of-Benches: Place a pillow at one end of your upholstered bench to bridge the gap between furniture and decor.
The Influence
Ndebele women of South Africa turn their homes into living murals painting bold geometric patterns with meaning rooted in status, family, and identity. These wall paintings fade with time, but that’s the point. Renewal is the tradition. Each brushstroke is cultural memory passed from mother to daughter, season after season. This is art that lives, breathes, and transforms with its people.
